Conservatives gained one seat from an Independent whilst losing 3 seats to Independents, 2 to Liberal Democrats and 1 to Lincolnshire Independents:
- gained Perth & Kinross, Almond & Earn, a 3 member ward with circa 8,775 electorate, from an Independent who previously had been elected as Conservative in 2007
Conservative share at 48.1% up 18% since 2012 with a ~10% swing from SNP whilst up 2% since 2007 although with no swing from SNP.
- lost Allerdale Dalton, a single member ward with 1,406 electorate, to an Independent who won the Boltons by-election in 2013 but lost the seat in May 2015
Conservative share falls to 22% compared to 48% in May 2015 although no candidate 2011 as Conservative returned unopposed in 2007 stood as Independent
- lost Craven, Embsay & Eastby, a single member ward with 1,476 electorate, to an Independent who is Chairman of the Parish Council in a straight fight
Conservative share falls to 20% compared to around 60% in 2007, 2011 and 2015.
- lost East Riding of Yorkshire, Pocklington Provincial, a 3 member ward with 12,844 electorate, to an Independent who contested Wolds Weighton as UKIP in May 2015 coming runner up
Conservative share of 36.1% compared to average share of 43.3% in 2015, 40.5% in 2011 and 42.9% in 2007 although 2 Independents and 1 Conservative were elected in 2003
- lost Broadland, Aylsham, a 3 member ward returning 2 Conservative and 1 Liberal Democrat, to Liberal Democrat winner of 2013 ward by-election and parliamentary candidate for Broadland
Conservative share 37.9% compared to average 32.4% in May 2015, 36.6% in 2013 by-election and 39.0% in 2011; swing to Liberal Democrat ~8% since 2015 but circa 2% to Conservative since 2013
- lost Cornwall, Wadebridge West, a single member Unitary division with a 2,903 electorate returning Conservative in 2009 and 2013, to a Liberal Democrat
Conservative share fell to 25.6% compared to ~65% in 2013, on a swing of 30%, and 60% in 2009 although Conservatives retained Cornwall, Menheniot on same day with an adverse swing of 4½%.
- lost North Kesteven, Ashby de la Laund & Cranwell, a 2 member ward with 3,924 electorate, to Lincolnshire Independent
Conservative share fell to 36% compared to an average 65% in May 2015 and unopposed in 2011 with the Conservative candidate having polled ~35% in 2015 as unsuccessful No Description
Labour made no gains nor losses.
Liberal Democrats gained Broadland Aylsham and Cornwall, Wadebridge West from Conservatives whilst losing a seat to an Independent local group
- lost Richmondshire, Richmond Central, a 2 member ward with 2,199 electorate returning 2 Liberal Democrats in 2015, 2011, 2007 and 2003, to Richmondshire Independent
Liberal Democrat share fell to 30.4% compared to average 47.5% in May 2015 and 43.6% in 2011 with Richmondshire Independent standing for first time
Holland-on-Sea Resident Association gained Essex, Clacton East from Tendring First who did not contest the seat
- Conservatives won seat in 2005 with 51.3% share and in 2009 with 42.6% as previous councillor stood as Tendring First, polled 26.8% in 2013 coming second but 16.5% and third in by-election
